On Monday, January 6, Pastor Mike had a triple bypass open heart surgery at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He will be in the hospital about 7 days and will be recovering at home after that. We will keep you posted on his progress.

During this time, we have the pulpit filled with Dave Taylor, Tim Haworth, and Molly. An elder is on call each week, and you can reach that person by calling the church office from 8:00 am-4:00 pm and speaking to the secretary. After 4:00 pm or noon on Fridays, the answering machine will have the name of the elder on call.

Gloria Marshall will continue to visit hospitals, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Molly Tenuto will handle day to day supervisory issues.

Please continue to pray for Mike and his family during this time.

Adult Sunday School resumes Sunday, January 12 at 9:00 am in the Meeting Room. We are doing a series on Faith.

LOGOS resumes on Wednesday, January 15 at 4:00 pm with a theme of “Birthday Bash”. If you know of a child or youth that would like to join us this semester, please invite them!

All Committee Annual Reports are due on Friday, January 17.

During this post-holiday time, we would like to provide an opportunity for everyone to Reflect on Their Relationship with God. The Sanctuary and Parlor will be open for your prayerful, personal quiet time with God. Please enter via sanctuary door or elevator doors. Hours will be Saturday, January 18, 11:00 am-2:00 pm and 4:00-6:00 pm; Wednesday, January 22, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm; and Saturday, February 1, 11:00 am-2:00 pm and 4:00-6:00 pm. Gloria Marshall will be available.

Book Club meets Monday, January 20 at 7:00 pm to discuss The Radium Girls by Kate Moore.

WOW!!! The J-Walks Pajama-thon had wonderful results. You gave so generously….127 pairs of pajamas!! We are so grateful for your help with making their mission project such a success.

The pajamas have been delivered to Dove’s Children’s Clothing Room. They were so grateful for all of them and quite impressed that the Jr. High youth chose this for their mission this year. Our church can be very proud of these young people. There are 10-13 Jr. High youth that attend LOGOS on each Wednesday. We thank them and the rest of our congregation for being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Some little children are going to LOVE having these new pajamas to go to sleep in very soon. Thank you again for your continued support of our LOGOS kids.
