A group from our Missions Committee had the pleasure of serving a hot dog lunch to the youth and faculty at Milligan Academy before they break for the summer. Everyone was very grateful for the food and the generosity of our church! Becoming a partner church with Milligan Academy has been a blessing for all! Milligan Academy is on summer break. We will resume food and clothing needs in mid-August.

Mt. Zion Community Ice Cream Social

is Saturday, June 9 from 5:30-8:00 pm at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Proceeds go to help local residents facing catastrophic medical expenses. This year, our recipients are: 8-year-old Addison Gould, 4-year-old Wyatt Gould, and 2 ½ year-old Azeleigh Judd. Our church would like to provide 5 or more baskets for the silent auction for adults and children. They have a theme, and the contents cost $20-$40. Please wrap the baskets in transparent plastic and have a list of the contents. Baskets need to be at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church by Wednesday, June 6. See the bulletin board by the choir room for sign-up sheets to help.

Book Club meets on Monday, June 18 at 7:00 pm to discuss Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

Vacation Bible School is July 29-August 2 from 6:00-8:00 pm. “Shipwrecked, Rescued by Jesus!” is our theme this year. You can register online now by going to our website, www.mtzpresbychurch.net .

Please come to Ryan Gould’s Graduation Party on Saturday, May 26 at 1:00 pm in the Annex.

The Thursday night Al-Anon meeting is discontinuing. There are other meetings in the Decatur area: Sunday and Tuesday evenings, and Thursday morning.
